The Children's Burn Center of Santa Barbara

The Children's Burn Foundation of USA was formed in 1998. This non-profit organization offers a unique and powerful service to children in need. The mission of the Children's Burn Foundation of USA is to make children heal. Children's Burn Foundation of America is funded through grants from foundations such as the Canadian government, the Consumers Union, and the American Red Cross.

Their Burn Centers is located all around the country and serve millions of children each year. The services offered by the Children's Burn Foundation of America include pediatric services, which include pediatric occupational surgery and pediatrics, as well as geriatric and neonatal intensive care unit programs. They also offer specialty programs for children such as those with severe illnesses or those with developmental disabilities. The organization offers treatment planning and referral services for children who have illnesses or injuries that affect them physically and emotionally. They work closely with local, state, and federal government officials to ensure that children get the help they need. In addition to the Burn Center, the organization offers respite care services in several locations.

These include day care centers and community based services for children. One of the services of the Children's Burn Foundation of America offers is Early Intervention/First Steps, a program that assists families in preparing their children for school. The program is available in over twenty communities across the country. The Burn Center's Early Intervention/First Steps is modeled after the Canadian Infant Growth Care Program (IEGC). IEGC trains parents and doctors on preparing children for school, giving them a set of educational materials and activities to learn in preparation for school, and how to provide their children with a safe and healthy start in school. The program also includes an emergency response plan and protocols that are coordinated by a team of trained professionals.

The Children's Burn Foundation of America offers a number of other programs, many of which are focused on pediatric and developmentally related issues. For example, the Center offers immunizations at various events to keep children healthy. They also offer immunization services to families that are interested in preventing disease by providing vaccines. The center offers a number of different childcare services. Many of them focus on early education through baby and toddler screenings. The screenings offer basic immunizations and information on preventative care, which parents can use to educate their children themselves. Other childcare services offered include day care, music lessons, art and craft, and swimming lessons. The childcare staff undergo comprehensive background checks and are fully certified, so all children can be provided with the best possible care. The Burn Foundation of Santa Barbara helps families in need in several other ways. On a daily basis, they partner with local shelters and organizations to offer meals, showers, tutoring, and medical assistance to children in need. On several occasions, the center offers emergency shelter to families who are not able to stay in their homes due to emergencies. The center hosts an annual Family Fair in the Santa Barbara area to allow families to interact and share information about life while raising money for their children's needs. In keeping with the mission of the Children's Burn Foundation of Santa Barbara, the organization runs a number of camps and workshops to help children deal with the emotional after effects of a burn. Camps are both fun and educational, allowing children to have a great time while building relationships with other kids. Workshops focus on a variety of topics including how to prepare for the after effects of a burn, how to get children better jobs, and how to maintain a loving and committed relationship with your child after he or she has undergone this procedure. Most importantly, many of these workshops encourage parents to talk openly about their concerns with their children, which allows children to draw on deep and meaningful experiences from their parents during their time in the camp. This promotes positive emotional growth.

A majority of the Children's Burn Foundation support comes from generous donors and sponsors. They offer over two hundred programs to choose from, providing over four hundred children with a wide range of individual and group counseling sessions. For parents who would like to help but do not have the financial means to do so, they offer over one hundred low cost programs that can be tailored to meet the needs of each family. The most important goal is to give children the opportunity to experience life as a whole instead of focusing on a singular issue. The center strives to provide children with the support and tools they need to build a secure self-esteem, and ultimately lead a fulfilled life. By doing this, they hope to give back to the community, while helping to build a community that cares about these children. Children's Burn
